Second Nature

I wrote in Nature’s Mirrors of my frustrations with trying to mirror work in Photoshop and my subsequent search for true mirrors in natural surroundings. This body of work shows the results of years of experimentation. The source images were captured at Weston’s Beach’s in Big Sur’s Point Lobos. The three images of “Emerging” were originally photographed in Virginia and Greenland. “Emerging I” creates a virtual lake or swamp, “Emerging II” a mandala of ice, and “Emerging III” a vision of the soul of an iceberg.
